Curriculum Information for Parents and Carers:

The overview above shows the topics and content children will cover over their time with us at Beedon.  This year we are working on Cycle B.  Links to previous years' maths plans have been added this year to enable class teachers to dip into different resources, when needed, as part of our Covid recovery work.  Knowledge organisers to help with homework are saved below.

Hedgehog Class: Bright Lights, Big City

Fox Class: Misty Mountain, Winding Rivers

Squirrel Class: this term children are ensuring they'll leave Beedon without any curiculum gaps due to Covid. History:ancient cvilisations, Georgraphy: rivers and mountains and Science electricity.

Home learning ideas and Parent/Carer information sheets are uploaded to our class pages on Dojo.

PSHE and RSE (Personal, Social and Health Education & Relationships and Sex Education)

Following the return to school after the Coronovirus lockdown in March 2021, our school has invested in a new scheme of work called SCARF to help our children with their recovery curriculum.  PSHE is taught every Monday morning and allows children time to talk about their feelings and to build their skills.  The RSE element of our curriculum is taught in the "Growing and Changing" unit of work.  Parents and carers have the opportunity to consult with the school about our RSE policy and have the opportunity to view resources before the unit is taught.

Further information can be found in the resource below.

ICT and Computing

At Beedon we follow the Purple Mash 2 Simple scheme of work.  Our pupils have access to a laptop each for their sessions.  We also have programmable devices and sets of ipads and tablets which can be used for classroom work and/or lent out to support home learning.

The 2 Purple Mash suite of resources can be accessed by our pupils to support their learning at home.
